Join the FOCS Team

Families of Color Seattle (FOCS, pronounced “folks”) is a community-based non-profit that connects parents to build a loving community of families of color. Founded in 2013, FOCS is led by mothers of color. We envision a world in which children of color are born into a loving community that is racially and economically just.

Our programs fall into three categories: parent groups, community events, and consulting to promote systems change. FOCS is at a pivotal stage in 2023. Building off relative organizational stability and history, FOCS board and staff have heard from our community that there is a desire to deepen and grow our impact for BIPOC families.
